Cable
glands are the mechanical cable entry devices or tools that can be manufactured
from the metallic or non-metallic materials. They are mechanical fittings,
which form part of electrical installation. Their motive is to seal cable and
keep it in electrical equipment to which they are attached or fixed. Plus they
maintain ingress protection rating of enclosure and thus keep the dust and
